2013-2014 Post-Master's Certificate in Pastoral Studies Course Listing (DPCL)
A Post-Master’s Certificate in Pastoral Studies is available to those who have already earned a master’s degree from LIM or an appropriate graduate-level degree from another accredited college or university. Transfer credits from other educational institutions are not accepted. Courses may be taken on campus, onsite (extension), or online. LIM graduates may reapply on-line using a one-page form. Other students need to apply for full admission. Continuing education credits (ceus) cannot be applied to one’s Post-Master’s Certificate.
This program consists of 12 graduate credit hours of specialized study through the completion of four 3-credit graduate-level courses in two Focus Areas. Students in their third course should contact the LIM admissions office to discuss course sequencing and availability.
2013-2014 Advanced Continuing Education Certificate in Pastoral Studies Course Listing (DPCL)
Those who have already earned a master’s degree from LIM, one of the continuing education certificates that the institute offers (Certificate of Pastoral Studies or Certificate of Religious Education), or a graduate-level degree in theology, pastoral studies, religious education, divinity, or religious studies from another accredited college or university may pursue an additional professional, continuing education-credit credential from the Institute called the Advanced Continuing Education Certificate in Pastoral Studies. Transfer credits from other educational institutions are not accepted.
Courses may be taken on campus, online, or at LIM extension sites. LIM graduates may reapply on-line using a one-page form. Other students need to apply for full admission. Transfer credits from other educational institutions are not accepted.
Qualified applicants are eligible to earn the post-master’s or advanced certificate upon completion of two LIM Focus Areas (twelve credit hours). An application for the certificate is to be completed and emailed to the LIM office lim@loyno.edu upon successful completion of nine hours of course work toward the certificate (the first focus course of the second focus area).
